Ralph Frederick Soderholm

Ralph Frederick Soderholm, 90, of Carbon Cliff, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.  Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Kingswood Church, Geneseo.  Reverend Dr. Chris Ritter will officiate.  A memorial visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the church. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel will be assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorials may be directed to Kingswood Church, Geneseo.

Ralph Soderholm was born on October 25, 1934, in Geneva, Illinois, to Arwood and Constance (Anderson) Soderholm. Ralph grew up in Batavia, IL and graduated from Batavia H.S. in 1952. He married Martha “Marty” Pinner. She precedes him in death. He later married Linda Moltmann Golden on August 15, 2001, in a ceremony held in Colona, Illinois. He proudly served in the United States Army and dedicated over 43 years to Central Steel and Wire Co. before retiring. Ralph was a devoted member of the Masons, Shriners, and Kingswood Church (formerly First United Methodist Church). Ralph was a Boy Scout assistant and Scout Master for Troop 1 in Peru, IL.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda Soderholm; son, Eric Soderholm; grandchildren, Jens Soderholm, Christian Soderholm, Devon Delvalle, Broc Golden, JP Golden, Tony Golden, Erin Golden, Will Golden, and Lexi Golden; and great-grandchild, Charlotte.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arwood and Constance; wife, Marty Soderholm; sisters, Helen Hill and Avis Nordstrom; daughter, Kristine Soderholm; and step-son, Tim Golden.
