Randall “Dirt” Paul Teerlinck, 69, of Atkinson, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Atkinson Chapel. Deacon Nick Simon will officiate. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Annawan, IL. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., prior to the funeral at the funeral home. A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the visitation. Memorials may be directed to Atkinson Fire & Rescue Squad.
Dirt was born September 27, 1954, the son of Walter and Lola Mae (Wirth) Teerlinck, in Geneseo. He graduated from Annawan High School, class of 1973. He was employed as a farmer and carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and carpentry. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.
Those left to cherish his memory include sisters, Judy Teerlinck of Minneapolis, MN, Sandy Teerlinck of Kewanee, Cindy Von Jones of East Moline, Chris (Gordo) Taber of Atkinson, and Cherie (Sal) Valentino of Woodridge, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lola Mae Teerlinck; and brother, Danny Teerlinck.
