Robert Neuman

Robert Neuman, 91, of Chicago, Naples, Geneseo, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at his home.  Per his family’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and no services will be held.  Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel will be assisting the family during this difficult time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Robert Neuman was born on August 16, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, to Russell and Winifred (Landre) Neuman. He graduated from Tilden High School and, on December 27, 1956, married Margaret E. Vassallo in Chicago.

To his many friends in Naples, Florida, he was affectionately known as “Biker Bob.” While living there, he rode his bicycle and swam nearly every day with Marge. Robert treasured time with his family and loved listening and singing to the oldies. Elvis was a favorite he also enjoyed watching old movies.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Margaret Neuman of Chicago, Naples, Geneseo; children, Margaret (Cheryl) Neuman of Colorado, Catherine (John) Pacella of Burbank, IL, and Annette (Gregory) Voss of Bishop Hill, IL; grandchildren, John, Michael, and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Kaylee, Elliana, and Michael; and sisters, Winifred Cannella and Joyce Divincenzo.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Winifred Neuman; and son, Robert Neuman.
