Roger Clemence Seei, 90, of Geneseo, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Hammond Henry Hospital Long Term Care Center, Geneseo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Malachy Catholic Church, Geneseo. Father Daniel Gifford will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Friday at the church. Vandemore Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hammond Henry Hospital Long Term Care Center, 600 North College Avenue, Geneseo, IL, 61254, or St. Malachy Catholic Church, 595 East Ogden Avenue, Geneseo, IL, 61254.
Roger Seei was born on January 11, 1936, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Clemence and Edna (Barrett) Seei. He graduated from Geneseo High School with the Class of 1953 and went on to work for 36 years as a computer programmer at the Rock Island Arsenal.
On June 14, 1958, Roger married Sandra Jean Claeys at St. Malachy Catholic Church.
He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Geneseo Country Club, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Sandra Seei of Geneseo; children, Brenda (Mike) Crider of Geneseo, Kevin (Patricia) Seei of Prosper, TX, Karen (Jason) Stenzel of Geneseo, John (Heather) Seei of Geneseo; grandchildren, Angie (Chris Elliott) Crider, Ashley (Michael) Smith, Lauren (Luke) Hale, Adam (Bridgett) Stenzel, Erik Stenzel, Addison (Jake Lang) Seei, Olivia Seei; great-grandchildren, London, Luxi, Jaxx, Rusti, Adi, Charlotte, Baylor, Ruthie, Jase; and brother, Robert (Kathy) Seei of Prosper, TX.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Clemence and Edna Seei; brother, Ronald Seei; and sister, Roberta Edmonds.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hammond Henry Long Term Care and Hospice Compassus for the exceptional care given to Roger during his time there.
