Rose M. Guthrie

Rose M. Guthrie, 61, of East Moline, IL, formerly of Geneseo, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Allure of Moline.  A memorial service for Rose will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Grace United Methodist Church, Geneseo.  Reverend Terry Lancaster will officiate.  She will be laid to rest at Annawan Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Grace United Methodist Church. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel is assisting with arrangements.

Rose was born on August 15, 1960, the daughter of Thomas and Marge (Sutton) Guthrie, in Kewanee, IL.  She graduated from Atkinson High School.  Rose was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she participated in the Circle.  She was a member of the Atkinson Women’s Club, loved going to church suppers, and going for walks.  Everywhere she went, she knew someone.  Rose volunteered at the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry and Good Samaritan Society – Geneseo.

Those left to cherish her memory include her cousin, Mark Guthrie; long-time friends, Grace (Jim) Delk and Bev Radue and all her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert “Bobby” Guthrie.
