Scott was born on January 14, 1964, in Moline, IL, the son of Harold and Joann (Heydeman) Newton. Scott was a quiet, unassuming person. He was happiest when he was helping others. After graduating from Geneseo in 1982 he went on to work in the service industry most of his life, whether it was as a landscaper or in a hospital or nursing home as a CNA. He thrived when he was able to be around a variety of people, helping with anything they needed. Scott had the kindest of souls, he will be missed by all that were lucky enough to have known him.
Those left to cherish his memory are mother, Joann Newton of Geneseo, sister, Kara Barnes of Geneseo, brother, Eric (Kathy) Newton of Germany and many nieces and nephews.
He had many family members welcoming him into the heavens. His father, Harold Newton, brother, Vincent Newton took his journey less than a year ago, sister-in-law, Cindy Newton and brother-in-law, Fred Hoefle.
