Sharon K. DeBates, 79, of Hoffman Estates, died Monday, March 3, 2025. Born June 13, 1945, in Hoopeston, IL.  A memorial mass will be held at St. Malachy Catholic Church, Geneseo, on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.  Father Daniel Gifford will officiate.  Inurnment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.  Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel will assist the family with the arrangements.

Sharon loved the simple things in life, like horses and shopping. She enjoyed going to the city as much as she did staying at home and watching TV, but her biggest passion was always her family.

Beloved wife of the late Stephen; loving mom of Scott (Jennifer) and Shelli (Tony Reyes) DeBates; cherished grandma of Zackery, Madeline, and Samantha; dear daughter of the late Walter and Kathleen Schriever and kind sister of Janice (the late James) Hendrie.
