Sharon Gramling Obituary

Sharon Lee Gramling, 83 of Geneseo, IL, passed away on Saturday October 25, 2025, at Allure of Geneseo with her family by her side. Cremation rites have been accorded and per Sharon’s wishes, no services will be held. Vandemore Funeral Homes and Crematory - Geneseo will be assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Geneseo Humane Society.

Sharon was born May 15, 1942, the daughter of Robert and Freida (Jacobson) Heist in Morrsion, IL. She graduated from United Township High School, East Moline, IL, class of 1962. On December 28, 1963, she married Robert “Bob” Gramling at Colona Methodist Church. Sharon enjoyed gardening, quilting with her sister Donna, watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, and her dog Sadie.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Allure of Geneseo for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Sharon.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Bob, son Christopher (Pam) Gramling of Geneseo, daughter Robyn (Rod) Gerhardt of Geneseo, Grandchildren: Shawn (John) Wunderlich, Jordyn (James) Mauler, Kylie Gerhardt, Bryce, Paige, and Jessa Gramling, and great grandson Aiden Wunderlich.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Donald Heist, Robert Heist, and Donna (Heist) Peterson.
