Steven Winegardner Obituary

Steven L. Winegardner, 63, of Geneseo, passed away on September 16, 2024, at Allure of Geneseo. Per his wishes he will be cremated and no services held. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory-Geneseo Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials can be made to his family.

Steve was born on April 27, 1961, in Moline, Il, the son of William and Lois (Lovell) Winegardner. He graduated from Geneseo High School in 1979 and married Jennie Pisciotta on September 27, 1986, she preceded him in death in 2009. He later married Reba Colter on October 10, 2010, and she survives. Steve was a self-employed painter, painting for companies all around the area. He loved going hunting and spending time at deer camp in Missouri, fishing, watching motorcycle races, watching Geneseo football and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. Steve especially loved his dog “Heidi”.

Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Reba Winegardner, children; Cory Winegardner of Troy, MO, Kara Winegardner of Troy, MO, stepchildren; Zachary (Michele) Sullivan of Geneseo, Lucas Sullivan of Moline, Lacey (Todd) Sullivan of Kewanee and Cody (Molly) Sullivan of Colona, brothers; Greg (Patty) Winegardner of Duncan, OK, and Tim (Tammie) Winegardner of Troy, MO, sister, Cathy (Scott) May of Geneseo, grandchildren; Kiley Winegardner, Cory Winegardner Jr., Lillian Winegardner, Joseph Stailey, Jenna Sullivan, Charlotte Sullivan, Makaela Malone, Donovon Malone, Kamron Burris, Jaxx Burris, Zoey Sullivan and Macy Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lois Winegardner, and wife, Jennie Pisciotta.
