Terry L. Dzekunskas

Terry L. Dzekunskas, 75, of Colona, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at UnityPoint – Trinity Rock Island, surrounded by her loving family.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel.  The funeral service will be livestreamed at www.vandemorefuneralhome.com/live-stream.  Reverend Terry Lancaster will officiate.  Burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Terry L. Dzekunskas Memorial Fund. 

Terry was born on July 14, 1947, the daughter of Willard and Marie (Carlisle) Davis, in Moline, IL.  She married Victor John Dzekunskas, Sr. at a service held in East Moline on June 20, 1964.  Terry was employed as an assembler at Inpro Seal until her retirement.  Terry and Victor enjoyed being together, whether it was fishing, golfing, or spending their winters in Arizona. She especially loved her time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Victor, Colona; children, Victor Dzekunskas, Jr., Atkinson, Dale Dzekunskas, Cordova, Jodi (Mark) Dzekunskas-Priddy, Biloxi, MS, and Jackie (Jim) Dzekunskas-Groves, Cordova; grandchildren, Carson Kennard, Kelsey Kennard, Christian Dzekunskas, Millie Dzekunskas, Justin (Taryn) Clark, Antoinette (Andrew) Hynes, and Nathan Clark; great-grandchildren, Hannah Priddy and Annelise Hynes; and brother, Jerry Davis.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Marie Davis; sister, Alice Korthals; and brothers, Ron Davis, Bob Davis, Jess Davis, and Larry Davis.
