Timothy “Tim” Neil VanHyfte, 56, of Moline, IL, passed away on January 28, 2021, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Vandemore Funeral Home and Crematory-Atkinson Chapel. A memorial visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Terry Lancaster will officiate. Tim will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Annawan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tim’s family.
Tim was born on October 20, 1964, in Geneseo, IL, the son of Bill and Rose (Chambers) VanHyfte. Tim graduated from Annawan High School in 1983. He graduated from Northern Illinois University, in 1987. He was an artist and loved music. Tim was a great father, brother and son. He could make anyone laugh with his funny sense of humor.
He is survived by his mother, Rose, of Annawan; daughters, Isabella “Rosy” VanHyfte of Moline, and Ana (Austin Brasmer) SantAmour-Bernas of Rock Island, IL; son, Micah SantAmour-Bernas of Rock Island; two grandchildren, John and Rex Brasmer; sisters, Tracey (Andy) Ward of LeClaire, IA, and Angela (Keith) Cochran of Litchfield, IL; niece, Selina Cochran; and nephew, Nicholas Cochran.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Bill; grandparents; cousin, Ilene Fortner; and uncles, Jim Chambers and Lynn Neulieb.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Tim’s friends and the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center in Moline, as well as the Moline EMT and Fire Department.
