Wanda Jean Rahn, 77, of Geneseo, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Allure of Geneseo. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023, at St. John’s Lutheran Church – Edford Township. Reverend Timothy Nerud will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. Wanda was born July 8, 1946, the daughter of Wayne and Margaret (Adams) Burrell, of Tiskilwa, IL. She graduated from Tiskilwa High School, class of 1964. On May 23, 1965, Wanda married Edwin C. Rahn, and together they had a happy life and raised three wonderful children. Edwin preceded her in death in 2018. Wanda enjoyed spending her free time crocheting, counted cross-stitching, decorating cakes, baking, collecting cookbooks, and collecting milk glass. She was also a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School for over fifty years.
Those left to cherish Wanda’s memory include her loving children, Scott (Laurie) Rahn of Osco, IL, Sandra Rahn of Geneseo, IL, and Kevin (Stacie) Rahn of Geneseo, IL; grandchildren, Kyle and Kaleb Rahn, Kenneth Cullison, and Heath Church; sister, Peggy (Leo) Lundeen of Tiskilwa, IL; and brother-in-law, Steve Wise of Missouri.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Margaret Burrell; husband, Edwin Rahn; and sister, Janet Wise.
