Wendy Sue Baele

Wendy Sue Baele, 55, of Kewanee, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2025, in Kendall, Wisconsin.  Cremation rites have been accorded by Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Atkinson Chapel and a memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the funeral home.  Condolences can be left at www.vandemorefuneralhome.com.  Memorials may be directed to Go Fund Me

Wendy was born on July 2, 1969, in Geneseo, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Constance (Dhamers) Baele. 

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and valued experiences over material things. She had a deep love for the outdoors and spent many happy moments camping and fishing. Her passion for horses was evident in her dedication to keeping and showing them. Wendy also enjoyed traveling and playing bingo, often sharing laughter and stories with those around her.  She cherished time spent with family and friends, always welcoming the company of others with warmth and kindness. Her appreciation for connections and shared experiences left a lasting impression on those who knew her.  May her memory bring comfort to all who were touched by her presence.

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Chuck and Connie Baele of Sheffield; children, Gary Andrews of Annawan, Alex Wiesbrook of Moline, Sophie Wiesbrook of Kewanee, and Dylan Bell of Annawan; brothers, Jason (Elaine) Baele of Mineral, and Nick (Amanda) Baele of Davenport; nieces, Courtney (Paige Ballard) Baele and Caitlyn Baele; and nephews, Zach (Alexis) Ast, Mason Baele, and Matthew Baele.
