Obituary

William A. Mendoza, 54, of Geneseo, passed away at his home, on Thursday, April 1, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are being held.  Memorials may be directed to William's family. Vandemore Funeral Home and Crematory-Geneseo Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

William was born on February 13, 1967, in San Francisco, CA, the son of Juan and Thelma (Joya) Mendoza.  He married Vicki Collins in March of 2000. He was self-employed as a truck driver, a job he always wanted.  William loved to fish, cook, barbeque, and listen to blue-grass music.  He enjoyed his yearly fishing mission, pulling his boat from Illinois to California.  He was community minded, always helping out people in need.  He loved his granddaughters and was a wonderful family man.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Juan and Thelma Mendoza, Corona, CA; loving wife, Vicki Mendoza, Geneseo; his children, Jacob (Rachel Carlson) Mendoza, Geneseo, Ashley (Nicholas) Mendoza, Geneseo, Jeremy (Caitlin Wheeler) Mendoza, Milan, and Lexie (Jaidon Norberg) Mendoza, Annawan; grandchildren, Hadleigh, Raeleen, Athena, and Asher Mendoza; sister, Barbara Davidson, Tehachapi, CA; niece, Nekita Davidson; and nephews, Corey Domingo and Joshua Hernandez.
