William “Bill” P. Borneman, 54, of Geneseo, passed away on January 3, 2022, at the University of Iowa Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Vandemore Funeral Home and Crematory-Geneseo Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 7, 2022, at the funeral home with Deacon Robert O’Rourke officiating. He will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery-Geneseo. Memorials can be made in lieu of flowers to the family.
Bill was born in Charleston, SC on July 1,1967 the son of Jerome and Susan (Carr) Borneman. He married Connie Fleming in 1998 and she survives. Bill was an over-the-road truck driver for 30 years. Constantly sacrificing his time and energy to provide for his family. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, bowling, spending time camping with his wife and friends, being active in the Moose Lodge, golfing (which he was consistently good at with no practice). Most important to Bill was making sure his family and friends were taken care of.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Connie, sons; Brandon (Alexis) Borneman, Duane (Kathleen) Fleming, daughter, Patricia (Scott Vandemore) Fleming, sister, Jerrilyn Borneman, brothers; Thomas Borneman and Richard (Jeannette) Borneman, mother, Susan Borneman, mother-in-law, Katherine Fleming and grandchildren; Jenah and Emilee Hart, Hudson Borneman and Samuel Fleming.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome and father-in-law, Francis Fleming.
