William "Bill" F. Mills Sr.

William “Bill” F. Mills, 83, of Geneseo, formerly of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on December 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. A graveside service will be held for Bill at 2:30 PM on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Pastor Steve Allison will officiate. Bill was born and raised in Salinas, CA, the son of Ralph Mills and Delma Lacey. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served 6 years earning the rank of BM3. He married Paula Waibel in Phoenix, AZ, in November 1989 and she survives. After serving he went into Law Enforcement in Tucson then later Phoenix, AZ, where he retired after 25 years of service. For 10 years after his time in the police force Bill was the security manager for the Arizona Supreme Court Building. After retirement he went on to work at Carquest for 13 years. Bill was very driven and cared about his work and also loved spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are loving wife, Paula Mills, sons; William Mills Jr., Richard (Sheri) Mills, Ronald (Debbie) Mills and Raymond Mullenix, daughters; Pamela Rist and Corey (Ben) White, sisters; Janice (Glen) Williamson and Alice (Terry) Chandler, sister-in-law, Naomi Mills, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Mills and Delma Lacey and brother, Randy Mills.
