Dear families of Geneseo, Henry County, and surrounding communities,
Vandemore Funeral Homes have served our communities for 30 years, and we are ready to help you now. The safety and well-being of you, your family and friends have always been our priority. We will remain open, although walk-in traffic will be discouraged, and our experienced, caring staff will continue to assist families during this uncertain time. We have much collective experience dealing with individuals and families in unexpected and traumatic times of their lives.
COVID Updates as of June 29, 2020
Vandemore Funeral Homes and Crematory will follow the guidelines and mandates of local, state, and national directives. We are obtaining updates and recommendations from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), State of Illinois, and the CDC. Effective immediately, all Vandemore services will be limited to family and friends in gatherings of less than 50 people at one time and we request that masks be worn during visitations and funeral services. We will work with each individual family to ensure that proper and appropriate services are offered, while we also do what we are able to protect and minimize unnecessary exposure.
Making Funeral Arrangements
If a death has occurred or is imminent, we are deeply sorry for your loss. As always, Vandemore Funeral Homes should be one of your very first phone calls. If you and your family are unable to physically meet us at one of our locations, we can help you to accomplish everything via phone calls, emails, and very soon, an online collaboration of information with your family members, no matter where you are physically located. We can and will accommodate each situation to care for your loved one and to ensure that your wishes are met.
Thank you for your trust
The death of a family member or friend is always difficult. Feelings of grief and anxiety are normally amplified, and the uncertainty that we are now experiencing accelerates those feelings and emotions. We will be here for anything that you need to honor a life, support loved ones, and enable you to begin the healing process. Your safety, wellbeing, and needs are of great importance to us.
Please call for any way that we may assist you. As new situations arise, we will adjust our policy as necessary.
