I always enjoyed visiting with Alice as I know my parents did too. It has been awhile since I saw her, it was when we were both in physical therapy at HHH. But many years ago, 53 in fact, she made my wedding cake. She was such a lovely lady.
My sincere sympathy to the loses you have had these past few weeks.

Our deepest sympathies, I recall early morning walks with Aunt Betty and Alice and the insights they shared as we traversed the town. I recall so many times that I'd stop to visit Aunt Betty and Alice was there. They were such good neighbors and friends, more like family really.

Alice was a wonderful member of the early morning swim class for a long time. We all not only enjoyed her company, we valued her opinions and helpful manner whenever someone had a question the group could help with. I treasure a roast beef with sauce recipe she shared. My mother enjoyed many afternoon 500 card games with Alice and projects they shared at First Methodist. Alice and her loving smile will always be a special memory of a lovely lady. May our Lord be close to your grieving family in the days ahead, offering His sure promise of heaven, without weakness, pain and suffering for her eternal days.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family at this difficult time. We are so lucky to have Aunt Alice as part of our lives. She always made time for us when we came home. Her thoughtfulness, talents and creativity will be remembered for generations to come. My grandchildren now use the baby quilts she made for my children and I cherish a quilt she made for my Mom. A very special lady who touched the lives of so many.
With sympathy and hugs.

Love, love, loved that Mom of yours! Twenty five years on the farm with all of you as our neighbors was a total gift to us! I remember Alice coming to our house to share her method of braiding sweet rolls, Darla and Diane riding Lucky to our house to give horse rides to our five little ones, her beautiful garden......

I'm convinced that if life is measured by the way we live, the way we serve, the way we give....If it's measured by the words we say, the love we express to those around us....if it's measured by the smiles we share, the way we care about others, then her life's measure is very clearly known, for these are things she has shown to us. What a Godly example!

There's a special comfort in knowing that the words "welcome home" have been heard in Heaven! We're praying that in the coming days God will comfort you and bless the tons of memories your hearts will forever hold.

.....And besides that, your reunion will be sweet, indeed!

Hugs and love,
