We wish to send our sympathy to the entire family. Know that God is always with you to guide and comfort you.
I remember when we first became involved in the Geneseo International Thanksgiving Fellowship Program in the '70's, Cathy helped with the student pick-up day in Chicago and arrival at the First Congregational Church, Geneseo. She gave us helpful information to continue the program..

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the surviving family. We regret your loss, but find solace in the fact that she is with Jesus now and no longer feels any pain.

Dear, Dick, I am so sorry to hear about Cathy's death. How very sad. I'm sorry. Glad you had so many good years together. What a pair of intellectuals :) Cathy was always so very friendly to me.
The first time I encountered the Kittrel family was when Ed and Jimmy Aud came to the Blumenstein home just before they bought the Chevorlet garage from my dad and grandpa (circa 1955). I remember Laurie, Kim, Allison and Tracey too. There was quite a "falling out" the year that Laurie supported the mayoral candidate who opposed my dad's favorite Dr. Doring.
Dick, I remember you walking home with Greg after school. You guys were on the east side of the street and I was on the west side. You were hollaring mean nasty things across the street at me. I went home crying. That is when my dear mom taught me the saying, "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me."
I used to clean house for your dear artist mom, Mary Ida.
Remember Mr. Kilnau's debate class?
Thanks for taking care of my folks legal matters.
With kind regards, Karen

Our deepest sympathy to you, Dick, & your family. I just talked to Cathy in the chemo room last Thursday when I was getting my chemo shots. I know she had a hard time talking, but so glad we did get that last few words to each other. Years ago Cathy & I were election judges together. Very good memories...

I am truly sorry all of the Stone family and their loss. I am sure she will be missed and to know she worked very hard to stay here with each and every one of you. I am sad that I will not be able to attend the visitation or the funeral because I will be out of town. I just want all of you to know I will be keeping you in my prayers and thinking of all of you, Sincerely Diana

To Dick and Family
Because of distance,Annie and I didn't have the chance to know you and Cathy well, having met only at Mark and Alison's wedding in 1980. However,we regularly heard about both of you most fondly.Reading Cathy's obituary,we learned what a priceless treasure she was both to her family and her community. She and all of you are in our prayers. May she rest in peace.

I was sorry to hear of Cathy's passing. Cathy and I worked on our library science degrees together and carpooled together to attend classes. We had some great conversations in the car on the way to class. We ended up working together for awhile at the Davenport Public Library. She will be missed. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My sincere condolences to the family of Catherine Stone. May you find comfort in your loving memories, and in God's promise to soon "swallow up death forever" and "wipe away the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25;8) With deepest sympathy,
