Daniel Thomas Miller

Daniel Thomas Miller, 72, of Geneseo, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City.  As per his wishes Cremation Rites have been accorded and there will be no services held.  Vandemore Funeral Homes, Geneseo is assisting the family with arrangements.

Daniel was born on June 16, 1943, the son of Stoy and Kathelyn (Schultz) Miller.  Daniel was united in marriage to Marsha Metzger on March 18, 1967.  He proudly served in the U.S. Air force and the U.S. Army as a pilot.  After his military career he was a pilot for United Airlines.

Daniel was a member of St. Malachy’s Catholic Church.  He enjoyed kayaking, fishing, flying, traveling, woodworking, and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Marsha; his daughter: Danisha Miller of Pensacola, FL; his son: Thomas Daniel Miller of North Miami, FL; grandchildren: Melanie and Amanda VanBavel, Kade and Skylie Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
