Danny Ford

February 17, 1971 ~ May 15, 2015 (age 44) 44 Years Old

Danny Ford, 44, of Geneseo, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at his home.  A memorial visitation celebrating his life will be from 5-7pm on Monday, May 18th at Vandemore Funeral Homes, Geneseo.  As per his wishes, Cremation Rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be made to the Danny Ford Memorial Fund.

 

Danny was born on February 17, 1971 in Geneseo, IL the son of Richard and Mary (Bear) Ford.  He was a 1989 graduate of Cambridge High School.  He had worked as a cook for the Deck Plaza Restaurant in Geneseo and currently was working for Smith Filter in Moline as an assembler. 

 

Danny loved history, especially Ancient Roman History.  He knew a lot about everything.  He loved playing video games.  He was a St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan.  Danny was very good at using sarcasm and was the jokester of the group.  Above all he was an awesome dad and loved his daughters more than anything and would do anything for them.

 

He is survived by his parents: Richard and Mary Ford of Kewanee; daughters: Kelsi Ford of Geneseo, Paige Ford of Geneseo; sisters: Kathy (Terri) Ford of Georgia, Sherry (Doug) Yarger of Galva, Joyce (Russell) Lindstrom of Galva, Alice Ford of Cambridge, Patricia (Wade) Davis Texas; brothers: Rick (Tammy) Ford of Peoria, Reno (Rosemary) Ford of Geneseo, John Ford of Moline, Lance Ford of Moline, Bruce Ford of Georgia, Jeff Ford of Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents and his brother Gary Ford.
