Reading about his life, and looking at the photographs gave me a look into his beautiful life. I wish I had had the chance to know this man. May he RIP, and love and strength go out to his family and friends.

Betty and family,
Bill and I have memories of Zimmy going back many years. I, especially, remember the years of boating with your family. He was always so much fun, as were you, Betty. Great people and fun times that remain beautiful memories of my childhood. I also remember more recently how good you were to my mother, Dorothy. She was very fond of you both. Iur thoughts are with you. Wendy and Bill Rowand

Great Guy. Another memorable neighborhood Dad from Stewart Street. If the pearly gates need some mason work done, God now has the man for the job. Additionally, Thanks Mr. Zimmerman for letting us ride mini bikes and 3 wheelers along the Geneseo Creek behind your house.

I have nothing but very happy memories of slumber parties, float building and horse back riding with you and your mom and dad cheering us on!. They were absolutely the coolest ever. My folks today say he was a wonderful man, excellent craftsman and fantastic businessman. Wow, what else could you ask for. I so wish I was closer and could hug you and give you strength in person......please know from afar I am thinking of you nonstop. This weekend I will be at the beach and will take a special moment to recognize him in my own way, maybe throw a shell or something to the ocean in his honor, and say a special prayer for you Lisa, your mom, your wonderful sisters and your children who loved him so dearly. He definitely made his mark on this earth and is likely doing the same in heaven. I am so incredibly sorry.....and love you all dearly. God bless and prayers for peace to you. In deepest sympathy...nanc

When I was a kid babysitting Zimmy and Betty's girls, I thought they were the coolest family ever. I really admired how Betty and Zimmy worked as a family. As I grew older I felt the same way. What a fine example of faith and love and fun.
Sincere condolences to Betty and the girls, but what a blessing you had such a wonderful man in your lives.
You will all be in my prayers.
