Some of you kids may not remember me but I am so sorry to hear that your Dad is no longer with us. I have many childhood memories of coming out to the farm. Your parents had a way of making me feel so special. I always looked forward to our visits with all of you. May the good lord help you through this difficult time and ease your pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Gordy was among a group of regular guys who came for coffee every morning at McDonald's in Geneseo where I work as breakfast manager. He was always friendly and soft-spoken and I will miss his kind smiling face at my counter.
