I am so sorry for your loss. I for some reason have been think of your family and a few others that became life long friends to my family.
My dad Alistair Lyness passed February 27, 2012.
My mom Jenny Lyness passed January 18, 2016.

to DeeDee, his only sister who loves him dearly, and to Dick's loving family, we know how loved he is and that this is not a easy time for all of you. Saying good bye isnt ever easy for someone who has been a loving son, brother, husband, father , grandfather and friend to so many. Although I never met him in person, I knew him through you, Dee, and may each of you who have fond memories of him, find your comfort in God and the memories of Dick's earthly journey.

I wanted to give my condolences, I am a daughter of Laverne Bundy and of course heard Dick's name mentioned all of the time over the years of construction with General Growth etc. My Mom, Beverly, died of cancer aswell and she also knew him. If it wasn't for your wonderful head of hair, I don't know if I would have ever met you. It's been an honor and a privilege being your barber and friend over the past 2 years. No matter how tired or sick you were, you always asked about my mother's health (who is fighting ovarian cancer). You were selfless, brave, genuine, and humorously sassy! I'll never forget you, Dick. I'll forever miss your presence, your loyalty, and your wonderful apple crisp..Goodbye my friend, thanks for the memories.

Always remember Dick as a great guy and willing to help anyone. I will always remember the girls basketball team and all the fun we had during those years. I'm sure you all will have memories like that and that is what I will always hold dear to me when I think of Dick. God Bless.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family at this sad time. I am a second cousin of Dick's on his Mother's side of family. Dick's Grandma Gerard and my Grandma Baner were sisters. We went to school together and I have not seen him since school. My husband and I are coming back to visit and go to the Westmer class reunion, so I am sorry to think of all those that will not be with us to celebrate that 50 yrs.
