Rosalind M. Vandersnick

Rosalind M. “Roz” Vandersnick, 57, of Atkinson, passed away Wednesday, August 05, 2015, at River Crossing Rehab in Galesburg.  A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 8th at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Atkinson.  Father S. Stephen Engelbrecht will celebrate.  Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Atkinson.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at Vandemore Funeral Homes, Atkinson, where the Rosary will be recited at 4:45 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the Rosalind Vandersnick Memorial Fund.

Roz was born on September 28, 1957, in Geneseo, IL, the daughter of Marvin L. and Rosella M. (Eeckhout) Vandersnick.  She was a 1975 graduate of Atkinson High School.  Roz was a bank teller at Farmers National Bank in Geneseo for 18 years.

Roz was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.  She loved celebrating her birthday with her family and friends.  She enjoyed bowling and was a Chicago Bears fan.

She is survived by her mother, Rosella; her brother, Randy (Rhonda) Vandersnick of Geneseo; her niece, Brooke Vandersnick; and her nephew, Bart Vandersnick (Kim Windisch) and their daughter Luna.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin.
