I am so sorry to hear of Russell's passing. He was a great man, friend, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. I won't be able to attend his funeral unfortunately because I am out of town for the weekend visiting family in Nebraska. I just wanted to you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. He can now rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord.

We are so sorry to hear about Russ's passing. Our family is forever grateful to Russ and Dorothy for allowing us to rent the farmhouse during our transition to the Geneseo area. We knew Russ to be a very fine man and an excellent farmer. May he now rest in peace.

I always enjoyed talking to Russell . Once in awhile he would drop by our house we lived in across from Eldon Larson just to talk about his Super M. He would come to Jake's baseball games when Larry and I used to coach together and always had a story or two to tell about playing softball for Pfeisters Hybrids or possibly Siebens. Never will forget driving down Cambridge Blacktop with Russell Ward on one side and Howard Hintz on the other. A lot of good guys from that neighborhood have past on like Eldon Larson, Albert Jodts , Dick Frisk, Elon Young, Fay Hancock and Frank Bassier just to name a few. I don't think the world has the capability to provide replacements for good guys like these.

I will always remember Russell as " Buster". Always had a great smile, and was a real Ward. Though we didn't see each other much except for reunions or maybe a Hi on Saturday night on main street in Geneseo, where his mom and Dad had the best parking spot in front of the A&P, I feel we knew each other well. God Bless you Russell.
