I can not tell you how many wonderful memories we have of both Gene & Marylou. From our way back years of watching them play poker all night. Getting the Gene's ready for the big Wisconsin trips, to enjoying them in the Valley with my folks. Don and I have shared many a Blue Grass song with Gene, he was a great instructor while Don & I learned to play in a jam. He lived his life well and full. He will be missed and always remembered. Gene was a great guy who did great work for us over time at Quad City Die Casting Company and our home. My dad especially enjoyed talking with him, going out to lunch. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to the Hartsock family.

It was such a pleasure to know Gene and Mary Lou. I had the pleasure of working with Mary Lou at Millikin. She made everything joyful. When ever I saw Gene and Mary Lou together it was evident that joy was a way of life for them. Our sympathies to the family. MaryLou's corn bread is still the best in the world!

I was honored to know Gene and Mary Lou for many years. They were one of the kindest and most loving couples I have ever known. They raised their children to be like them and to love their families the same way. It is wonderful to know they are finally together again in heaven.
