Our hearts go out to the Shannon family for the loss of a great husband, father, grandfather and good friend, Bill. We have wonderful memories of good times many years ago. His smile was his trademark. I don't believe Bill ever knew a stranger. Like you, we were so fortunate to have had Bill in our lives. God gave us memories so we could have roses in December. I think of baseball, picnics at Blackhawk Park, walking to the Dairy Queen from your house and playing games in your yard. I can hear Bill whistling to get us back to your house and can hear his laugh. I know my mom and dad's life was better because Bill was in it.
