Denny and Rose, Larry and Bev, I was so sorry to read of your fathers passing at such a young age. Must be the air up there. Lost my dad in July at 94 years old. Am certain you have many great memories to cherish! Enjoy each other at this special time too.

I grew up knowing Lloyd through church and visits to each other's homes. Lloyd always had a story, a smile, and something to show me. He had the most beautiful snow white hair too. Since we moved across country over 20 years ago, we've always made it a priority to visit Lloyd, on our yearly visits back to Atkinson. Our daughter was lucky enough to also grow up knowing Lloyd because of our time spent together. We have a turtle, golfer, quilt rack, etc that Lloyd handmade for each of us. They are precious to us, knowing the love and care he put into each piece. Christmas cards exchanged each year were special too. We even got to endure a tornado warning with him a couple summers ago.... didn't know if we were all going to fly away! He was very loved by us and we will miss him very much. Our deepest sympathy to you all.

So long good friend you will surely be missed. Lloyd and I rode together to work at I.H. for many years. When we were retired we used to walk up to the Post Office and Bank while we solved all the world's problems. Lloyd was a good and kind man.

What I remember most about Lloyd "Bones" Cleair are the visits to the farm. Homemade ice cream, ice skating on the farm pond and being led on the horse. I am sending my condolences to the family.

Lloyd was a wonderful man and neighbor. He was very kind and sweet to our kids. He had given our daughter a tricycle he had fixed up so cute so she would have a bike to ride. It was a very special gift to her and to us. We are very sorry for your loss but at the same time feel blessed to have known such a special person.

To the children of Lloyd: although I don't remember most of you, we are related. My dad was Orville Funk whose mother was Mable (Day) Funk, aunt of Florence Ream Cleair. I have fond memories of LLoyd and May visiting our farm in Colorado and also weekly get togethers with my parents during their Arizona winters. I remember him as a kind, fun-loving man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

LOVED THAT DAD AND GRANDPA OF YOURS!! Many years on the farm with Lloyd and May as our neighbors and church friends was a total gift to us! I remember picking apples pears, and gooseberries. I remember Lloyd coming to our house to work on Mom and Dad’s house when they remodeled in 1980, Dad and Lloyd looking out after taking out chimney from top of house to the basement boy were they dirty. Lloyd telling his many stories, on golfing, war experiences, hunting, and stories about raising 7 kids with May and laughing till my sides hurt. I have several items Lloyd made for me over the years, a quilt rack, several wood items such as a tulips and collapsible bowl shaped like an apple.

I'm convinced that if life is measured by the way we live, the way we serve, the way we give....If it's measured by the words we say, the love we express to those around us....if it's measured by the smiles we share, the way we care about others, then her life's measure is very clearly known, for these are things she has shown to us. What a Godly example!

There's a special comfort in knowing that the words "welcome home" have been heard in Heaven! We're praying that in the coming days God will comfort you and bless the tons of memories your hearts will forever hold.

May and Lloyd are now together again!!

Hugs and love, he will be greatly missed by all,

Beth Y. Naugle
