Roxanne L. Aper, 50, of Geneseo passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Hammond Henry Hospital Emergency Room, Geneseo. A funeral mass celebrating Roxanne’s life will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 29th at St. Malachy Catholic Church, Geneseo. Rev. Michael Pakula will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. A visitation for Roxanne will be held 3-7 PM Sunday, October 28th at Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Roxanne Aper Memorial Fund.
Roxanne was born December 27, 1961 in Morris, IL the daughter of William and Beverly (Berta) Rehberg. She was a 1980 graduate of Newark High School and graduated in 1984 from Eastern Illinois University with a B.A. in Music Education. She was united in marriage to David P. Aper on June 21, 1986 in Morris, IL and has been the Director of Music for Annawan High School for the last 27 years. Roxanne was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church in Geneseo. She loved music, her family, attending all their events and spending time with them.
Survivors include her husband: Dave; 3 sons and one daughter-in-law: Geoffrey and Brianna Aper and their son Kyson, Bettendorf, IA, Jonathan Aper, a student at ISU in Normal, IL, and Noah Aper, at home; her mother: Beverly Rehberg, Lisbon, IL; 1 brother and sister-in-law: Randy and Stacy Rehberg, Lisbon, IL; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Marcee and Don Brummel, Somonauk, IL and Melissa and Rob Sigler, Plainfield, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Roxanne was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
